The campaign offers a chance for supporters of cryptocurrencies and web 3 to voice their concerns in Washington, as Coinbase noted in a tweet on Tuesday. In addition to their contact details, histories with regard to crypto policy, and advice on how to ensure individuals with a voice are heard, local politicians and the cryptocurrency environment will be covered in a variety of instructions provided by Coinbase to the community.

Coinbase said, “The crypto community has reached a critical juncture. The future of how we may manufacture, acquire, trade, and utilize cryptocurrency will be impacted by the decisions that politicians and regulators make in Washington, D.C., and around the nation.

However, pressure from federal authorities is increasing, notably the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
In in February, the organization penalized Kraken for its staking-as-a-service offering, slapped Paxos with a Wells notice for issuing BUSD, and started an inquiry into Robinhood’s cryptocurrency listings.

Supporters of the sector in Washington, including the SEC’s own Hester Peirce, have blasted the agency for enforcing regulations rather than giving the clarity that crypto businesses need to comply with the law. Although disputing many of the SEC’s accusations that certain crypto goods, such as staking services and tokens, are securities, Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong has endorsed her arguments.
