The world of cryptocurrency is constantly evolving and expanding, and new ideas and innovations are emerging every day. To showcase the latest trends and ideas in the cryptocurrency and blockchain space, CoinMarketCap, in partnership with Hello Labs, is launching an exciting new reality TV show called “Killer Whales.” The show is inspired by the popular TV show “Shark Tank” and will focus on Web3 and NFT entrepreneurship.

The show will be produced by Hello Labs and will debut as part of their Web3 Hollywood roadmap. The show will feature eight episodes and will air in June of 2023, scheduled for broadcast on well-known streaming services as well as Hello’s own Web3 app. From 2nd May, aspirant business owners can send in their project ideas through Hello.one and CoinMarketCap, with the schdule going on floors in June.

In conjunction with the show’s debut, HELLO Labs will also introduce an exclusive “Show Producer” NFT collection that gives owners the chance to participate in the show’s development and have a say in important choices.

But what exactly can we expect from “Killer Whales?” The show will see entrepreneurs pitch their ideas to a panel of expert investors who will then decide whether to invest in the project or not. The panel will consist of five “Whales,” entrepreneurs,- influencers, and Web3 company founders- who are experienced investors in the Web3 and NFT space.

The contestants will have just a few minutes to pitch their idea, and the panel will then have a chance to ask questions and decide whether to invest. The show promises to be both entertaining and educational, offering viewers a glimpse into the world of NFTs and Web3 entrepreneurship. The show will offer a unique platform for entrepreneurs to showcase their ideas, receive valuable feedback, and potentially secure funding to help bring their projects to life.

In addition to showcasing innovative ideas and projects, “Killer Whales” will also provide viewers with a unique opportunity to learn more about the cryptocurrency and blockchain space. The show will feature discussions on the latest trends and technologies in the industry, and will provide viewers with valuable insights and knowledge.

In a press release, CoinMarketCap’s CEO Carylyne Chan said, “We are excited to launch ‘Killer Whales’ as part of our Web3 Hollywood roadmap. The show will provide a platform for talented entrepreneurs in the NFT and Web3 space to showcase their ideas and potentially receive funding from some of the most experienced investors in the industry.”

The show has already generated a lot of buzz in the crypto community, with many people excited to see what kind of innovative ideas will be presented. The Web3 and NFT space is still relatively new, and there is a lot of room for growth and development. By showcasing new ideas and potential investments, “Killer Whales” could help to shape the future of the industry.

Of course, the success of the show will ultimately depend on the quality of the pitches and the investors’ willingness to invest in the ideas presented. But if the show is anything like “Shark Tank,” we can expect plenty of drama, excitement, and innovative ideas.

Web3 and The Entertainment Industry

At large, Web3 and the entertainment industry share the same values of creativity, innovation and community. The integration of Web3 technology in the entertainment industry in the recent years has brought new ways to create and consume media.

The opportunities of Web3 in the entertainment industry are not limited to creativity and engagement, but also extended to commerce and revenue sharing. Web3 could enable a new level of transparency, accountability, and efficiency in the monetizing of content.

One of the most notable uses of Web3 in the entertainment space is the utilisation of NFTs (Non-Fungible Tokens). NFTs are unique digital assets that can be bought, sold, and traded on blockchain networks. They have provided a new way for creators to monetize their content, while also providing viewers with new way to interact with their favourite art forms and artists.
